it looks less 1990's now you've taken the morettes off. it'll look spot on with s class wheels fitted. have you thought about some of these http://www.carlssonwheels.co.uk/largewheels/design1_12.html they'd look a bit special on a mk3 golf
Thanks mate! Have now fitted my debadged grill and picked up the rims!! Will need some work to get them how i want but got the winter to sort them out!
Not been on here much since i sold the bezza but things are moving on slowly with the VR.
Have added a Milltek decat and cat back system, big thanks to Kate @ JKM for sorting a good deal on that! With that and the K&N it now sounds awesome!!!
Have also fitted a set of TT pedals, polo gear knob and mk3.5 cabrio chrome door pulls (not in pic) on the interior, keeping it in the VAG family!!
On the outside i have fitted a set of FK lower bumper vents
Then it was time to start getting the engine bay up to a better standard was really lacking after the ibiza!! With the VR engine i am going to go black with polished/chrome accents.
I had my polished header tank and washer bottle powdercoated black going to run polished caps on them.
Once the header tank was fitted the rest of the bay look so dirty i had to do something!! The red bit of hose will be going black but didn't have any at the time of fitting!
Before
After
The inlet will be polished and powdercoated over the winter and possibly a few custom made carbon bits
The rims are 16 x 8's with et 34 going to run 15mm adaptors to make them et19.
I used various engine cleaners/degreasers and megs APC, then dressed plastics with Megs Hyper dressing, still need to polish and wax all the painted areas tho.
Do not ever damage or risk damaging that front splitter, I do believe you can no longer get them!! Mate who VR6's his blue cabby with cream rof / interior smashed one thanks to a chunk of wood in the road and never did find another.
