Sorry to sound like a muppet, sorry wet passenger footwell, is that the door seal or the pollen filter?? It's under the sound deadening as well. Didn't really enjoy having to scrape the ice out from inside this morning!! haha . And would getting a dehumidifier for a day help out at all?

Could be either, remove front seat peal back carpet slice the sound deadening along the centre tunnel.Remove it to dry off, pop out the rubber bungs in the floor, will dry out far quicker, and you can then suss out where the leak is coming from.
Sprinkle talcum powder and the water will leave a trail through it.

I haven't had much like with my car lately. My coil pack went last week, replaced that great done, went to get into my car yesterday morning for work and noticed a massive puddle in the rear drivers side footwell and also the thermostat is now playing up lol! In regards to the leak, if it's in the rear drivers side footwell does that mean it's the front drivers side door seal that's gone? It's strange because the leak wasn't even gradual, the seal must have literally come apart over night, or could it be something else?

It was serviced the other week so do you think the scuttle panel might not of been put back on on correctly?

The strange thing is, it's been raining everyday since Monday and it hasn't leaked again as far as I can tell. I even went out to the car last night when it was raining to see if I could see the water coming in from anywhere, also felt around the door cards and couldn't see any evidence of it leaking. :/

I have towels in the footwell and a endless supply of de-mister pads (the £1 ones from Asda are very good!)

These damp issues are a pain in the arse sometimes, but I just say they are 'quirks' now. My Leon is nearly 13 with intergalactic miles on the clock, he's allowed to have some issues! :D

It'll be my last winter with him this year anyway.....

Yeah I've got my lovely plush Supernatural drying towel sitting in the footwell soaking it up :(

Tbh I'm getting fed up with the car, only owned it since March this year, but it's probably been one of the most unreliable cars I've owned. Yes it's got a nice reliable VAG engine in it, it's just the rest of the car that lets it down. My cars only done 44k miles now and in the last 2 weeks a coil packs gone, thermostat has failed, reservoir in footwell, airbag light is on and it's had a whine from the gearbox since I bought it - seriously WTF!? Oh and the coolant temp sensor went on it at the end of August. I don't have much faith in the car at the moment and will probably sell in the new year. Or I could just be having a bad month.

If u had wet floor carpet and your airbag lights on, then ur side airbag crash sensors would have failed as there under the carpet.

Here's a tip for anyone who is suffering with a lot of condensation but can't see a leak from the common places. This is especially relevant to those who only get condensation bad after driving on wet roads. Check to see if any of the rubber plugs are missing from the spare wheel well - under the spare).

One of them was missing on my car. For such a small hole, I couldn't believe how much condensation was caused by a small quantity of water getting into the wheel well!

Took me ages to find it, so thought I'd share the knowledge.

That's good to know as my car looks dry but I know a plug is missing in the wheel well and I suffer condensation in the wet :D
