Ah, never thought of that.. sounds good.though man, should get the done before you get tyres on it

yeah def before tyres
and then i can take them to place to get them fitted and no doubt some spotty 16 year old kid on trident will dig them and scuff them up lol

Small update..
Sprayed the front n back S badges satin black, looks awesome. Then the next day I got a big nasty stone chip on the front. Lovely.
Not much else apart from that lol. SeatCupra.net decal on the back.. Um... Some new airfreshners for the front bumper, some ****er keeps stealin em!!
Goin to see about an exhaust tomorrow, got a MAgnaflow backbox I've had lying around..

It's gonna be weird driving with an exhaust..

you must use so much fuel having no exhaust on the car mine fell off on my old 106
(kid who has it before bodged it big time so i took it off to sort it out properly to find he propper messed up the middle section so just bodged it back on to go shop and it fell off lol)

but i only drove like 5-10 miles and my fuel fell loads

Yeah well I mean, being my first car, I have nothing to compare it with! Fail, right there.
From what I've been noticing, town driving and that, it's decent. But I drive from Leven to Dunfermline for work.. I just checked Google Maps and Christ! That's about 24 miles each way haha. Says it takes 40 mins.. Yeah right!

lol yeah bit hard to compare and if driving fast you will use more anyways

what you getting done exhaust wise??

just getting back box fitted or goingto get a new one made up, in other thread your after power get a striaght through will make it loads quicker

Well I have a big ass Magnaflow backbox kickin about (Had it for a few years, don't even ask) so gonna get that put on, I need the guy to make a center pipe too, since mine looks like something a comic book bad guy would use to brush his teeth. Never actually thought about decat'ing it lol. If I remember right, when I bought the car, the previous owner had just put a Polo cat on it that morning?

yeah not sure how your exhaust is but mine is

manifold
cat
center box
back box

im going to get rid of my cat and center box but make the pipe in 2 bits so if i need to put the cat back in if fails mot i will be able to unbolt one bit of pipe and put the cat back
(made mistake of having one pipeon saxo and had to keep center section and the cat for mots)

if you have a center box then you may aswell just get rid of it for a straight pipe wouldnt take and exhaust place lonng to do just bend pipe and the connections to the end done

I took off my badges with the dental floss - it was very quick and the badges were undamaged so could be re-used if needed.

I picked off most of the sticky foam with my fingernails and washed off the residue with lighter fuel - the liquid kind, not the butane gas. :D

Got a Magnaflow backbox on today.. was a bit unsure about how it'd look and sound.
But it sounds a lot better! No more grunting like a strange rapist, its subtle and sports, also feels more responsive and on the dot.
The guy who fitted it, suggested to cut it into the bumper a bit, due to bein so low.. so yeah. Looks decent enough.

Got it out for an hour or so tonight, felt better than before, more responsive like I mentioned. Glad I done it!

Photo tomorrow..

New decal and exhaust. Car looks higher than it is because of the angle I took the photo.

Look out for me kicking about Fife :)

Seems all my spare time goes to trawling zee intarwebz for more parts I want... Go faster parts mostly..

Would like some new bushes. A user on another forum I was spying on put it nicely "You wouldn't use a ten year old condom.."....

Was contemplating getting the Arouser resprayed in a Alfa Romeo metalic red soon. A friend kindda talked me out of it, at the end of the day it's a 1lt Arosa... It won't resell for much more than I paid for it..

So now thinking vinyl roof.
Not carbon. Certainly not!
I have an idea in mind for a custom one, repeated pattern. Being a Tattooer I have a prety creative mind, and I'd like a geometric repeated pattern roof.. but still subtle enough, that you wouldn't even notice it...

Time to get on Photoshop...

My friend has a B5 Passat, and I've always loved the interior light.. Played with the idea of having one fitted.. But it's a bit costly for very little novelty..

Some stuff has came over the past few days.
Aero wiper blades on the front, took 25 mins to get them fitted (thanks to the three trillione flimsy plastic attachments that came, with no instructions!). They just do the job that they should :)
New tax disk holder came, bit of a funny one since my old one was a knackered old Direct Line one lol.
Got a Polo rear wiper too, not fitted yet (About to..).
Also a gearknob, since I've been running about with just the internal plastic bar thing lol.
It's a bit Ricer-ish though... Hmm..

Think I want a Golfball gti gearknob.. Or a Lupo/Polo Gti one.. Who has one to sell me!! :D

On Monday the Arouser goes to get raised and G60's fitted too :D

Last night when I was pretty tired I tried putting on the new ricer gearknob. Made a bit of a **** of it. I have a habbit of gettin mad at inanimate objects as they defeat me! A little grub screw decided to thread half way in the hole (In the new gearknob), then when I touched it with plyers, it just crushed. Smart.

Fitted the rear wiper today. Was actually easy peasey :) Washed the car too... Took me about 2 hours but um yeah... I'm by no mean a "detailer" guy lol. Just tried to make it look shiny.

In cleaning the car I noticed that some ***** has broken a bit of my passengers side mirror house, just under the mirror, it's took a chunk out? :S Was gonna vinyl the mirrors this week but not sure now..

Anyone have an old passengers side mirror plastic they don't need? :D
