i run a 14.47 today, couldnt get much grip off the line being first time i have been to the pod was a bit of a newbie in getting used to it all. got a 110mph top. killed a few CTR a few times depends who gets the better start IMO there isnt alot in it but a few times i was a good 2 car lenghts ahead. then other CTR's i had just beaten with not alot in it. a mazda rx8 gave me a good run. and i was a few car lenghts behind a new 420bhp m3 but in all fairness it did beat me but not what i expected...

You got a 110mph terminal speed in a mapped LCR mate???? You sure?
Nice time though ;)

Thats a very impressive time TBH. The guys with hybrid turbos are getting 105 MPH which I thought was very good but there running 300 BHP +

yes i got 110 and still got the slip to prove it was one of my best runs but my others wernt exactly miles off that either being around 97 99 104 . really it depended on the start for me if i could get the power down with no wheel spin which a few times i did really well then i blew those CTRs away. but other times there wasnt alot in it when i didnt get a great start.

i trye experiementing alot to see what sort of revs were best to pull off at i found it was best to pull off at around 2.5 then clutch the car straight away and control the revs for wheel spin. other times i would just be very lucky let the clutch out when reving up and pull straight off with very little spin. i do want to go again it was great, and it was my first time so i got alot to learn still.

i would prefer to take a stripped out race car there though something self preped not a road going car but something small with a fast engine and stripped to the bare shell maybe a red top vauxhall turbo engine in a nova or corsa bit chavy but not alot will be catching you.

Fair enough but between 94 and 110 MPH theres a huge amount of very fast cars.
My mate in his 340 BHP MK2 Leon Cupra did a 108 ish MPH run and it aniliates some seriously quick cars. It walks away from a 265 BHP LCR, its night and day between the two

Sorry to doubt you but I still find it very difficult to believe the 110 MPH thing.

gotta be running sub 14 sec for 110 mph terminal surely.102.5 mph is the best i have ever had.Did a 14.4 with a terminal 98mph when i had Revo stage 1.

scan the slip and post it.

I have to say even my 111mph run I did the other week is starting to look more and more dodgy now as it seems Santa Pod are having probs with there right lane trap speed. Although I did a 109mph in the left, the right lane runs averaged out about 3% faster than the left for some reason on most peeps runs.. Very odd..

Sorry, but there is no way that top speed of 110mph is genuine. This is further proof of suspect figures on the pod that day.

Top speeds fluctuate by few mph on a 1/4 mile day, but even between rain and dry, top speeds dont fluctuate by 13mph.

A top speed of 110mph would be achievable on an LCR with maybe 100bhp more than you have.

I am sure Ben will admit that his 4mph gain in terminal speed between his run that day and the previous week is questionable, and dare I say it, but JonnyC's 119mph is awfully high too despite it being a stripped well sorted car.

not a prob, i will defiantly scan the slip and post it up tomorow. i did think it was a bloody good run.. if it was playing up i am not to know obviously. i just thought i must of got a great start. a few of my mates came down with me aswell and seen it aswell and all mentioned the 110 run i never thought anything of it and didnt think to question it. not sure which lane untill i look at the slip tomorow at my work. anyway i will scan and send over.

The T25 did not run well at all, 14.1 was his best. Here's the ST giving him a good run for his money on his first ever run (skip to 30 seconds to go):

Not doubting your slip mate - just doubting the accuracy of the equipment at pod that day.

As Al says, not calling you a liar mate as you're obviously not to know.. Good time either way.. ;)

It was just the right hand lanes speed results on certain runs that was a bit suspect. Everything else was as normal from what I could tell... My 107mph run was when I was stage 1 Al, so was only a 2mph jump..
Jonny's car did run a 115mph run in the left lane, which is still pretty immense either way..
