It's been a busy few weeks spending good money on her to keep her going:

its now fully serviced
replaced fuel filter
all round yokohama parada spec 2's (had to order 2 more as the toyo's i had on for a little bit picked up a couple of nails thanks to the dodgy northants roads so i had to go back to the ditch finders until fund free'd up)
new tax
and MOT and Cruise booked in with Unit 18 on the 2nd November:

To summarise, since i bought it, i have now done the following:
flip key
painted calipers
chrome vents
chrome gear surround
in dash cd holder
Boot Tray
4x yokohama parada spec's
Armster Armrest
PD160 Intake
Custom Design Number Plates

Stuff planned:
Cruise Control
Green Cotton Panel Filter
P-Torque Remap
SEAT Sport Strut Brace
LCR Splitter
HID's
Wheel Refurbishment (possible colour change)
Cupra Mirror Covers
Colour coded rub strips
TT Brakes

Stuff Still Undecided About:
Aero Front Bumper and side skirts
New Head Unit - I want it to be compatible with the steering wheel controls and ideally the AUX input if possible.

nice job on the car man!!:D

one question: are cupra mirror covers just gloss black mirror covers??

lucky bugger......... i think :-S

I dunno what it is with me and cars, but i just dont seem to have much luck with em, whilst driving into work i hit the mother of all holes in the middle of the A6.

The sodding thing was at the joining point of the 2 hills so all the melted snow had run into the hole and hid it from glancing site. What made it worse was that accoriding to the council there was also a burst water pipe which is where alot of the water had come from. :ban:

So i come trundling down and the traditional 50-60mph and smash into the :censored: thing. car bounces and im craping myself (not literally mind) got to the top of the hill, to find nothing short of a grave yard of other poor souls who'd hit it and had their right had side tyres/wheels destroyed. 6 on the grass verge, and a layby full of people awaiting rescue. When i spoke to the council apparently 17 people had rang in by 8am to report it and to complain and that i should get an assesment on the damage and send them the bill.

I got lucky the tyre survived somehow. I had the car inspected properly today rather than just by the roadside with a maglight.

Actual damage to the car..... a slightly buckled alloy and thats it. The wheels werent even out of alignment. I think who's a lucky boy then comes to mind lol

Quote from a dealer for a new alloy £193.71 inc VAT. I think that the council will be paying for a new alloy rather than a refurb, and the alignment check n all i think......

was it hard to fit??

looks really good btw!!:D

cheers mate,

not especially, just time consuming for me as it was the first time i had attempted anything like this.

You need:
  • 12-15 self tappers (i used 25mm 8g, but if done again i would use 20mm 8g)
  • hack saw (easier to cut the splitter)
  • masking tape
  • screwdriver :p
  • small hand drill
  • and power sander (completely optional)

Then:
  • Chop down the centre V's so they are in line with the rest of the splitter, i personally sanded down the little tabs where you fix the screws to so it fits flusher to the bumper
  • ran a long strip of masking tape from the badge downwards and stuck it to the middle of the splitter to ensure it was a central as i could get it
  • held it in place with a load more tape
  • used a small hand drill to prep the holes through the splitter and bumper (ensure its smaller than the screws used)
  • screwed everything in place
  • chopped off the ends
  • now i want to seal it with a bit of black sealent to fill the gaps in between the splitter and bumper

theres a very good guide in the FAQ's which i used for referance

Nice car and thread mate, can't believe I have just found it. The P-Torque experience is certainly a winner... I had a Stage 1 remap just before Xmas and have been grinning ever since!

One of my mates likened it to a Scooby in terms of the the power delivery! :funk:

its surprising what these little beauties can do with a touch of TLC and a sprinkle of magic, gives some people the hump, as i say best £230 you can spend in one lump some, just gotta be careful with the clutch and upgrade to the FMIC before the summer
