whats the best way to remove the metal clips on the throttle body, the ones that hold the black plastic cap on with the electricts under??

cheers

I just prised off the plastic cover with a screwdriver - mind you it did crack in a few places because I think the continuous heat makes the plastic very hard. After I got it off I just sprayed WD40 into the gears etc. I also replaced the air filter (if you're experiencing the alternating idling whic I was). This put an end to it. I understand this is a common fault on modern cars. I also sprayed a small amount of WD40 on the throttle butterfly when i had the air filter off to make sure it returns to the correct position for idling. Hope this is of help.
