Hey All,

I've had my SEAT Leon Cupra R MK1 (BAM) for a few months.

I'm going over fixing a few bits now.

Since I bought the car, there is a ticking sound coming from the engine when accelerating hard.

On idle whether the car is cold or hot there is no ticking sound at all. When revving to any part of the rev range there is no ticking when idle.

The only time this tick comes is when I'm driving and I put my foot down. It's usually past 2000rpm, but only when accelerating hard.

If I drive normally at any area of the rev range then it doesn't tick.

This tick only comes when accelerating hard.

It also gets faster as the car accelerates when foot down, however no loss in performance, but then again it's been like this since I got the car so maybe there is a loss of performance but I'm not aware of such.

What could this noise be coming from?

Potential boost leak maybe?
