Mine had same problem :

If you can hear a click from the relay when you press the button then it usually the wire from chassis to door.

The relay is under the carpet under the n/s rear seats.

To check the switch, subsitute it with a known working one!

To check the motor, remove door panel trim, unplug and connect to a 12V source.

If above work, then it is a broken wire. If this is the case, several others will usually be on their way out too. It's a fiddly job though as I could get at them from inside the car so had to solder onto short bits!

Deffo a broken wire, its just getting the wire out thats the problem [:@]
Its stopped working now too but i have central locking issues with the same door now[:@]

I have the exact same problem with my toledo -98 drivers door. None of the electrics at this door is working so my guess is that the wiring gone bad. Since the hinge on this side have been worn out i'm thinking about replacing at the same time. Now the problem. It seems i can't disassemble the door, all my efforts seems insufficient. Due to the clearance the only tool i could use is a mandrel (don't know if this is the correct word, google translate ftw) and a big hammer to try punch the sprint out of the hinge. No matter how hard i try i can't make it move just a little. Could loosen all the bolts holding the door but the problem would still remain since i need to replace the sprint.

Would appriciate if you guys could help me in this matter.

Erm, since this has been resurrected -- can somebody tell me where I can get a back door electric window switch/button thingy? I've been quoted something like 25 quid for one, and that's well a bit unreasonable in my opinon -- tried 247spares or a breaker's site like that - no replies.
