What about Michelin PS 3? I use them and get better mileage on them but have to say I still prefer the PS2
 
I had t1 s on my leon with standard suspension 225/45/17 and with the abs braking wasn't an issue. They offered almost as much wet grip as dry but wheelspin was always an issue wet or dry. they also only lasted just over 6000miles to a set of fronts.
 
I'm not impressed with the toyo proxes t1-r s I've got on my cordoba at the minute. 195/50/15 on a 6J rim. The cars suspension isn't great at the minute but I'm not sure that it would enable me to get the rim to touch the tarmac. Tyre pressure was 34 psi. You could see where the tyre wall had scrubed on the road surface.
