tracking/camber

Hi,

Just lowered my car earlier today, 30mm. Sits nice
Problem is the tracking has gone way out, the steering wheel is about 30deg to the left when straight, plus its pulling, thats ok I can get that done locally.

Secondly I have just realised that I may now need the camber sorting as i thought i was non-adjustable, (apparantly you can due to the free play in the strut/hub bolts) great..

Is there a standard setting for the struts to be in? i.e pulled right out both sides at the bottom bolt on each side or something?
Or should I get a spirit measure and get it totaly level l l rather than / \ or \ / etc...

you should aim for about -0.5 to 1.5 degrees negative for road car road tyres... roughly..

I think std settings are ~0.5 -ve camber

Ok,

so i can get a camber/castor gauge for £35
It has a adjustable spirit level built in and a magnetic disc that can magnetise to the hub.

But, how exactly do you use it?
Because surely i have no 0 deg reference point to start from anywhere.
Anyone know how to get this?

Well the gauge is on ebay, its a non digital one- sprit level type.
But your local Tyreland can do it all.
They will check the camber and tracking, print it out, then adjust as ness, and print out an after adjustment page for you
Cost me £69 inc vat- much better now.
