Traction control light on whilst driving after remap

I had my car remapped a couple of days ago (1.9 tdi sport) and all has been well, only problem I'm getting is when I put my foot down in 1st or 2nd gear sometimes the traction control light comes on the dash, any ideas why? its OK if I'm driving normal, its only sometimes when I put my foot down hard

What has happened is when they remapped the car they de-activated the LSD module in your motors ECU mate. I would take it back and ask them to refund you your money and remove the map..........

You failed to mention that the light stays on permanently which makes this a completely different story don't you think?

Definitely something not right there - get it booked in at the most expensive dealership you can find.

Yeah I guess so lol well ok sorry, any ideas why it would stay on??

mine did exactly the same when i got a stage1 revo, my educated guess is that the traction control system is not designed for the extra power the re map gives you, so i think it goes into some sort of standby mode or safe mode. when i took my car to stage 2 (a less agressive remap) the problem never happened again.
i just used to turn off the engine and back on again whilst moving...problem solved haha

mine does it when I bury my foot from standstill and I don't have a map I must have a fault too

Broken MAF....

If it didn't do it before, they shouldn't have let you leave really. Not until they'd fault code checked it to determine why.

That'd be your best thing to do.

No what will happen is if I put my foot down hard in 1st or 2nd gear it will come up and stay on, until I restart the engine
