traction control=no wheel spin?

Hi All
I recently bought a Cordoba tdi 130 which allegedly has traction control. Ive noticed that when pulling away quickly at junctions itll spin the wheels pretty easily. The warning light isnt on and the tyres are good.

Does this sound right?

yea its not the be all and end all for traction control, try wheelspinning round a roundabout if you can find a quiet one.

im also not sure if it operates below 15 mph?
otherwise it would just stall the engine at junctions...
