Am I right in thinking you cant TOTALLY turn the traction control off. I know the button in the centre console is supposed to, but I have found that the car still tries to control the wheels more than a regular off switch............in my old Vectra, off meant off as is loads of wheelspin etc !!!!

im not sure! but i think if youe press the tcs button abit longer it should also turn of the esp which will help. do a search! as i dont have esp on mines!

i know what you mean tinbum, mine still seenms to flash when its off! but it still get wheelspin, but when i slam on the anchors it does flash and try and control the car, think ots just trying to keep the car under control!

mine never flashes when its off, the light is on permanently.

I've never felt that the car is interfearing when its off. To me it "seems" to be completely off, whether it is technically, I don't know.

When I turn mine off, it seems to be all off. The only still active system is the abs which does cause the solid light to flash. :)

If you press the ESP button, on an LCR, it turns the TCS and EDL off (fully off) and reduces the sensitivity of the ESP (someone said to 30%) but it is still "on".

Pessing the button for ten seconds doesn't seem to do anything different from the above.

EDL is Electronic Diff Lock, which, even when it's on, is only active up to 20mph.

The Leon Cupra/FR didn't have ESP as standard (I don't think) but it was available as an option (I believe), so it will have a button labelled TCS rather than ESP.

Why do we still have LC and LCR owners getting each others systems confused?
Std LC has TCS, button off = TCS off. Certain LCs have ESP as a cost option (very few have this)
Std LCR has ESP which can only be turned down with the button.

Yeh I know that bit, but what control over wheel spin does ESP have ?
