So the cupra and K1s are identical in EVERY way except the aero kit and centre exhaust??? The interior is the same as is all running gear??? Do they have the same rear spoiler???

A K1 is purely an aesthetics limited edition of the cupra (spoiler included) all mechanicals and interior are exactly the same.

However due to the popularity of the K1 the kit was then available as an option. BTCC or aero kit

Front bumper, tail lights, tail gate, suspension, heating controls, steering wheels, dials. Think there's a couple more, in sure someone else can tell you

Facelift and pre-facelift K1/BTCC/Aero kit are different. They look the same but are actually a slightly different fit

Incorrect - It was not limited edition - it was an unlimited production run like the Cupra. And yes, it was a Cupra with a different appearance with the different bumpers, aero skirts, spoiler, K1 badge and central exhaust. All else is identical.

Incorrect. The Aero kit was availble for the MK2 Leon way before the Cupra K1 came on the go. It got the BTCC name before the Cupra K1 came on the go too.

So the aero/btcc kit is the same thing just named different???

What's the difference in rear spoilers???

Also what's the better one to go for the facelift or non facelift???

Just buy a Cupra dude save yourself some cash and dont worry about what the body kit is called

I really like the look of the btcc kit tho lol. The cupra looks a bit bland imo (hides lol).

If I can buy a newer cupra then add the kit for less than it would cost for a K1 then thats the way i'll go. I just need to know whats the better car, the facelift or non facelift. Plus it'll need to come with a load of toys like AFL xenons, bluetooth etc. I've noticed that the edition30 golfs have dropped a bit in price now as well so thats an option as they come with a load of extras.

I will be in Edinburgh with mine next weekend all going well. Come take a look if you want. You can add the Aero Bumpers to the facelift or pre facelift.

The facelift car is nicer inside than the pre facelift and some of the gremlins in the pre facelift are gone in te facelift.

Apologies. I meant limited as in only produced in 2008, not limited number. Wrong terminology.

Hands up to the second one
