Tuning advice needed leon fr tdi cr 170

Hi people
Looking to get my 12 plate leon cr tdi tuned, not sure wether to go with a tuning box or have it mapped.
Has anyone got any experience of either? I live in Essex but would travel.
Any help or advice on this would be much appreciated

remap over a tuning box all day, not a fan of even the DTUK ones actually. also if you wanting the performance, DPF & EGR out is a must too

Had a tuning box on my Punto Evo. 20% more power and torque. Not bad for a plugin box.

That isn't so black and white any more A proper Remap with a dyno test is better than a Tuning box but a generic software remap is no better than a tuning box.

So are we saying that a custom map is best then? Not sure about having dpf and egr out! Although I've never had a diesel mapped!

For the most performance it's best too, also the other thing to consider is you benefit from any future problems with removing them

Not at all, everything can be done easy, companies charge different amounts where are you located

I'll keep looking, if i don't have any joy perhaps i'll give you a shout! I'm sure the wife would agree to an over night up there somewhere as long as there was a nice hotel and shopping involved
