We were not talking about a remap, keep up!

Whether you believe it or not, they can tell. I'd also be very wary of anything that was sending bogus signals to my very expensive ECU, that controls my very, very expensive engine.

It is possible to check certain parameters on the engines logs that show it has had a tuning box.

Even those who claim their remap cannot be be detected aren't entirely telling the truth.

Surely, when these parameters are read it shows slightly different sensor values for each sensor the tuning box has manipulated, But if the tuning system has been removed they cant conclusively turn round and say its had a tuning system fitted, Can they? And if so, How?

Yes of the current values, but it's a computer so it will store previous values also, same as it will store historic MPG, error codes and such.

hi I am wanting some help with my dilemma and some advice I have a 2014 seat leon 150 fr I currently have a tdi tuning box which really makes a difference but as my warranty runs out next month I am thinking of getting a revo remap for it but my question is would I notice the difference with a remap or am I just wasting my money and just keep the tuning box ? , thanks for any opinions or advice

Well i see you decided to sell the box and go for a re map. Unless its not you who i bought the box off on ebay
