Tuning in mk3 radio

Good morning

First post so be kind lol

Just bought a MK3 last night but having cd player withdrawal symptoms already.

I have a FM transmitter for my ipod but i cant seem to manually tune the radio to a freq with no existing station on it. It just automatically goes to the next station

Hopefully im just being stupid but i would appreciate your help

are you pressing 'rds' or 'band' button?

oh and welcome, i'm fairly new too.

ive tried all the buttons but it just goes to the next actual station

Its a fairly common thing i would have thought to be able to tune a radio into any freq you wanted lol

If its anything like the aura head unit then press and hold the prog button till it beeps and shows manual on the display. Then tune to whatever you want and store, press prog again to exit.

I figured this out by the way people, its the Man button! Simple as that but i was trying it on rds instead of band
