Just a quick question
Anyone fitted a larger turbo intake pipe or know how difficult a job it is.
Got one sitting in my house and wondering how much time to put aside to fit it.
cheers :p

What sort of turbo intake pipe have you got? (brand?) Its only difficult in that you need a Jeremy Beadles sized hand to work at the bottom end of the piping.

what do you mean by a larger one?
if you mean just a simple aftermarket one ie forge
then its not that difficult just fiddly.
you will need to strip certain other parts out in order to fit it
but if you bare in mind i fitted mine in the car park at gti international
(and im no michanic)

I looked at where it goes today when i was under the car and it looked too fiddley to me could hardly see what connects on to it let alone get it out and the new one on but then i'm a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to things like that so think i'll pay someone to do it, did fit my new dog bone mount and hopefully sorted the secondary air pump :D

Not difficult just a bit tight for space as already mentioned and should take less than an hour to fit.
Here's a guide that some of you might find handy, just ignore the bit it says about jacking the car up as it's not required and you can do all the work from under the bonnett. :)

Its easier if you get under it tho. Just put mine on a few days ago but im lucky i had a friend who works at a car garage. It still was a Bi**ch to get on from underneath its so tight the fitting that is. Oh but that water pump pipes or what ever they are, were easly pushed to the side a little to give us more room under the car to get our hands in. Oh and it is soooo worth doing! Sounds great and feels quicker imo.[B)][B)]
