Turbo trouble!

Guys i'm needing some help with my turbo. It sound like its on the way out. Horrible inconsistant wurring sound after i switch off.

Was thinking of trying to get a Leon 225bhp replacement, just needing to know if its plug and play or am i better of getting an OE replacement.

This is a propers beginners question though: are the Mk3 engines a KO3 and the Leon 225bhp a KO4?

Don't have the cash to go for a hybrid or anything fancy at the moment.

not plug and play as tip, maf etc ... are different plus you would have to get your own dp made up

your turbo will stop spinning when you turn the engine off...

is the whirring the coolant pump?

its the pump you can hear

coolant pump runs for anything up2 20mins after you switch off to help cool the turbo? if it is inconsistant then maybe a corrision problem in your fusebox on top of the battery, check the fuse!
