you can use ANY turbo on ANY car if you know how........
If by T3/4 you mean a Hybrid Garret T3/4 then yes it has been done before but a lot of work is involved in it, new manifold, new downpipe, bigger injectors, bigger MAF, bigger FPR, custom remapping.....
Depending on your Leon, assuming it's a 'Cupra' ..... most people go for the Garret GT27 / GT28R series or Hybrid K03S or K04 .......
Your not looking at this T3/T4 claimed for a Cupra on eBay are you? :

That will fit, but a hell of a lot of work / custom fabrication is required to do so, also these import turbo's seem to be a hit and miss unless.... you buy everything but the turbo and manifold, buy a genuine Garret T3/T4 etc etc

t3/t4 same aint they? old skool design?
you can get t3 manifolds but its easyer to source a t28 flange if u can

I think the T3 relates to the exhaust housing and the the T4 the compressor hence T34.Overkill unless you want to run big boost and far behind current Garret/Borg turbos in terms of response.
What's the spec of the gt27 turbos?Never seen them listed but assume its the usual 54mm exhaust wheel and between 60/70mm compressor?

Yeah i think thats right....But cheap turbos like that and theres aways too big....
If he was going todo a Bt conversion on the cheap...then it would be IHI/Mitsi Setup as the turbos are cheap 2nd hand and easy to come buy...
the only expensive part is the Manifold like,JBS,tigart and JS..

Far point will argue about doing a BT on a budget but its possible...
On my Ibiza i ran New tigart manifold,Vf23 And revo stage 3 with 550cc injectors and made my old lines,tip,gear linkage bracket ect
from memory i did the conversion complete with £1200... Everything was brand new bar the turbo (which is a error in most peoples views) turbo cost me £120 and was in mint conditon...of scoobynet.
I had it running for 5 weeks before the water pump failed and i rebuilt it...Shame really the Rest is Old news..
What it looked like when i completed it..

yeah theyre 007p ones, i have had them anodised ,so they will last ages. just refurbing them and punting them

That looks an awesome car, what power was it running?
I Never had it dyno'd when i got it all running the water pump went then i rebuilt the engine fully...Rest is old news.
From memory the Boost,timing,fueling & mass airflow should 320-330bhp @ 1.5bar Boost....
i was young and complete plank and broke it for parts...
