Turbosmart DualPort problems...

Since fitting the above mentioned DV I have had quite shocking mpg, and strong smell of fuel. It was bad when I mounted it the wrong way (even though the atmos sound was louder??) but tonight friends following behind could smell the fuel even sat in their car, and the exhaust spat flames! It is currently mounted the correct way and I've had to turn it 'soft' quite far, to get any decent sound.

I can't explain it as I'm a noob at how it's meant to effect fueling. I'm hoping you can help me! I'm thinking my decat is making the fuelling worse but not sure...

Please help!
Cheers...

Yeah I owned that before. Was very quiet... not quite what I'm looking for. I was told this valve would keep the ECU happy, and at first I thought all was well, but it's overfuelling like mad!

Looking at the manual, it says the bottom hose is exhaust, but how can that be when it actually goes into the TIP??

Yes, blue smoke is oil and if it is worn rings would really effect the mpg.
You need a leak down test to se if it is rings, and a compression test done imho.

id borrow a 007 just to swop and prove the dv is at fault.... cant see a dv causing oil to burn though.

you need a leak down test as said to find where its leaking.

Not yet mate, bit poor atm lol Would that help though? With the stock valve it is running alot smoother and no backfiring :|
mpg is better too

It is also starting alot better/quickly when warm too, before it would shudder abit then start after a few seconds with the turbosmart fitted

Not yet, in what way do you think it would cause this problem? Can it be related to the unburnt oil?

If this helps, a couple months back the ECU reported an overheating of one of the lambda sensors, but has since not reported the same fault. Maybe the sensors are buggered? Would that contribute to unburnt oil or is this more a fuel problem

I'm such a newb its quite depressing but thankfully I've got this place

Yeah basically the car isn't burning all the fuel that is being injected.
It as to go somewhere and if it as gone past the rings....oooooops :(

:O Fuel deteriorates seals doesn't it?? If it's been past the rings what does that entail dude? Costly? Is it turbo or...?

Strange because oil consumption has been fine, hardly had to top it up. At least with the stock valve fitted it's better

Over fueling

Basically you are getting bore wash due to the amount of fuel your using.
Bore wash means the seal isn't what it should be so the oil is being burnt too.

Yeah I'm an f'ing fool! Just finished my course so been rushed off my feet with exams and job hunting. I have a lambda separator block just sat here waiting to be fitted, do you think that will help?

Where do I go from now. Is it costly to get the rings replaced? If I fit this separator or get the cat welded back in, should I be ok? Seeing as oil consumption has not really moved
