On a standard Leon Cupra 1.8T what can you safely turn the boost up to without further mods?

cheers. I've only had mine a month and by the boost guage it says i'm runnin just under 10psi which is a bit..... girly lol.

I've just had my mk4 Ibiza Cupra remapped before christmas and before the remap it would over boost to about 11/12psi and then settle and hold 10psi, now it over boosts to about 18psi and holds about 15psi,

how are you contemplating turning up the boost?

remap only advised way of doing so.. keep fuel and ign to suit

if you just turn the boost up with a controller or bleed valve you will have problems with the over boost and the car will keep going into limp mode

Yeah when I got the car it had a bleed valve fitted and also found a resister connected to some of the wiring, obviously to fool the ECU into thinking it's running less boost than it is so u can keep pumping the boost up. The valve had always been closed and as normal runnin 10psi I opened the valve just under a quarter of a turn and boost went up to around 1bar, what I found was it boosted up t0 14psi then as soon as it hit, it drop back down to 10 and held there.

Does the same thing happen? does it boost up then drop or does it hold?
