have read a few people changed speakers in front for components.
just bought some focal comps and wondered how easy do the tweeters fit into the original gap?
do they fit? how do you remove it from the door? etc?

Door card removal is quite simple and there is a thread on here regarding that. I fitted some JBL tweeters in my PD160 and they fitted quite easily. I had to file down the edges of the tweeters plastic pod just to get a snug fit. You won't regret it becasue the factory tweters are pooh.

I've got a pair of jl components in mine, fitting tweeters is dead easy. Pop the factory ones out and use hot glue to fix the new ones up against the back of the hole. That way you can remove them easily and the hot glue will just peel off. (also it doesn't matter how big the tweeters are)
To get the best out of them remove the black foam cloth from behind the tweeter grill as this really takes the edge off the treble. Good Luck!
