Looking forward to Stage 2 results with this cooler Tom, assuming your going for AMD map?

I haven't driven mine for 3weeks roughly, looks lovely all parked up mind you :D but needs a good hoover out after my passengers and their dirtly little feet.

I'm going to plump up for a cat-back system before the AMD meet.

Worth mentioning that you can buy shorter/slimmer foglamps that will still fit a LCR, can't remember who it was that said they'd done it (think it might have been Turbin but he seems to be banned now) but apparently these will go on in place of the OEM ones if your intercooler pipework prevents the originals going back. I'm with JamJay on this one, I'd like to keep the car looking as standard as possible, well as much as I can given I've got titanium coloured wheels...

I also fell in love with my car again very recently, like t0m having fixed the rear washer jet, but also my camshaft timing EML went away on its' own and I discovered what I thought was a dying turbo was just my 007p valve sticking :)

All the good people get banned :( but then again I have no idea what might have been said. I wonder where he got the shorter lamps from then, another VAG model perhaps? If so then it makes things simpler.

Touch wood, no problems with mine of late, aside from the ARB bushes anyway but I seem to get the love back when I drive it and it scares the cr@p out of me.

As we've all noticed, the cars are perfoming very well right now in the cold, even with the SMICs so another question, is the performace further enhanced with a FMIC in the same conditions or are the benefits only really to be had in the Summer?

No idea why he got banned either but best not to discuss these things, seen threads get locked like that (maybe not this forum tho, can't remember). Think he said ebay though.

I'd love a FMIC but to be honest I'd be struggling even to justify £350 at the moment, saving to buy a house with the g/f so dropping money like that on the car (which she already thinks is extravagant with the price of V-Power around here) wouldn't go down too well! I'm considering a phenolic intake manifold gasket, about £70 all in and while it won't actually lower the temp of the intake air it'll stop the mani heating up with the engine bay heat so intake air temp heatsoak will be reduced.

I have seen some folks say don't bother with FMICs until the warmer months though so if you've got other things on your wishlist then I'd be putting it off til then. My own plans are to get my front ARB fitted (in the loft since last summer!), get a rear ARB and fit that myself, stage 1 remap then leave it at that.

Me too mate, me too! ;) And yeah, I'm getting the AMD map put on. Be interesting to see how it all does on the day.

Haha, mine is now a weekend car too! Thanks to a 'lovely' commute to Soho each day! I hoovered mine at the weekend too, it was awful :ban:

Which cat-back? Are you still going custom for that specific noise your after? :)

I wondered where Turbin had gone!

Nice one, glad it wasn't a dying turbo for you! That is one of my worst nightmares, lol.

Falling in love again with the LCR feels good! :ban:

I think it will be a custom system from a local tuner, Jackson Tuning, who happens to be a VAG and Polo nut. He's done several systems including all the custom pipe work for a V8 Polo Coupe so I trust his work, besides we went to primary school together. The specific noise is essentially just LOUD with pops and an occasion flame :D.

You're my test pilot for stage 2 AMD, I'll be watching with eagle eyes.

Congrats 8bit on the good news, 007 fail is better than turbo fail :). Saying that, I must service mine next month.
