so a couple of q really. will it be ok to mix makes? I have good bridgestones on the front of my FR but need new rubber on the rear.

Which would be best with this set up? toyo or Goodyear?

i have Avons on the front, Mitchellins on the back, no problems.

Toyos are the ones to get though, My Avons grip as good if not better than my old front mitchellins, and they were half the price!

Swear there is a site which sells Toyos for about 68quid? cant remember the link :S

Camskill do cheap tyres, but they're just the tyres on their own. Alternative, try Elite Direct in Rainham, they've always been pretty cheap.

:) I'm having a credit crunch economy drive next week.I'm getting a couple of Barum Bravuris (205/45 16w). 2 Tyres,fully fitted,valve ,balance,vat. Total £92.

Won't set the world on fire,but made by Continental.Last well(about 25k).

The money's better off in my account, than Mr Darlings. He'd only piss it against a wall anyway.[:@]

I used to use Goodyear eagle F1 GSD3 and they were the best tyres I have ever used.

I was told that they had stopped making them but it seems some places can still get them.

I went to Toyo Proxes T1-Rs with the promise these were the greatest replacements for the goodyears.

In the dry they are good - not great like the good years.
In the wet treat every corner with kid gloves. I had a "moment" mid corner at 35mph in the wet a few days ago.

I'm looking for an alternative when i run these Toyos out. If not I will go back to the Goodyears until I can't find them anymore.
