Under Bonnet insulation pad

Hi,

I am taking delivery of a new 1.5 dsg V2 next week. Does anyone know if it will come with the under bonnet insulation? I see this is available to buy from many seat parts suppliers. Considering it for a bit more noise reduction since the engine no longer has a cover.

If it helps my 2.0 V2 came with an engine cover but no under bonnet insulation but I intend to use some fire proof sound deadening felt and make it myself.

Let us know if it makes any discernible difference?
Another member used factory original insulation but noticed no difference

Didn't think the V2 1.5 had an engine cover issue
So it should have one

Hi, take a look here Bonnet insulation. I bought and fitted one to my V2. Not expensive and looks much better imho.
It seems the VZ models have them fitted in the factory but not the V models.

Thanks all, collecting the car this week so will order when I definitely know it does not have one.

Thanks for the info re 1.5 engine cover, I take it this applies for the 2.0ltr only.
