Uneven brake wear?

brakes are now metal on metal all of a sudden, almost like it happened over night:confused:

however it is only scraping on the passenger front and passenger rear side

there is no pad left at all, like it has just fallen out almost. Plenty of pad left on the drivers front and drivers rear

what could cause this uneven wear?

tempted just to say F' it and stick on the brembos and new wheels!

Alright bud

There's a good chance it was shitty pad material, what were the pads?
Big brakes are must if your going to route i think you are.
Brembos with 2 pieces discs should see you alright.
But there are heaps of suppliers out there too.
This could be a symtom of you needing to free up the pistons on both systems as these caliper work off two different hydraulic set ups.

Ferodo pads mate, so decent quality

very very odd!

AMD have quoted me £1100 + VAT for the GT brembo set

I'd say stuck piston too - you can tell if they're sticking if one wheel is warmer than the other - the heat generated from burning the pad away will warm up the disc, caliper and also the wheel. Out of interest, do you like driving through puddles?

What a silly question, everyone likes driving through puddles, lol

Only ask because it's that side that's wearing out faster - might be caused by a little too much puddle jumping :)

its funny you mention that as where I live all the roads are lop sided, so puddles always build up on the left hand side of the road where the uneven brake wear has appeared:p:lol:

no mate, I am not a puddle driver:D
