Unknown Metal Plate !?

Hi guys, I am driving a Ibiza Mk 4 1.9 TDi.

One day when I am driving, I heard some noise like a metal part sliding behind the cabinet on the passenger side.

On the following morning, I found this metal plate (with 3 holes, see photos) lying under the cabinet, you know where your passenger put their foot. Fortunately, my Ibiza is still driveable without any problem.

Does any one know what this metal plate is? Where did it come from? What part of the car does it belong to?

Part of one of the seat subframes? Just a guess, but worth having a look

Don't recognise it yet, maybe if someone with ETKA who is bored in the run-up to Christmas can play "hunt the 3-holed metal plate"

i have a similar sound on a mk3, but i can't be arsed to hunt the loose part
