Rite i have found a wire in my engine bay that isnt connected to anything.

I only found it by 'chance' as i had to pop my front, passenger side indicator out to replace the bulb.

The wire is yellow with a yellow connector on the end. it is behind the wing.

Does anyone know what this is for??

Thanks for any help in advance.

I have one in my car! I believe its for the fog lights, not that my car came with front fog lights!

I installed some fog lights I got off ebay for a tenner the other week! I have to say I think I did quite a good job! Insted of buying the new plastics covers to fit the lamps I just spent several hours cutting a hole in the solid originals!
Also I bought a wiring kit for a fiver and have mounted the switch in the centre of the dash! I tell people its a turbo button:whistle:.......I can dream!
Though I havent finished wiring them in as it said something about connecting the circuit to the side lights? I will sort it out if it ever stops raining!!

u know i took a pic of that the other day and forgot to post up..

Its on my GTI, weird, yellow plug

I've got it as well. When I was replacing some front end parts I stumbled across it as well. Yellow wire with a rubber plug thing on the end. Not a clue what its for either.

i've always wondered what it was for aswell but never really looked into it (don't have one now)

i seem to remember Martin's old 8v cupra had one aswell and it was connected to some kind of crash sensor or something on the chassis leg
