Will stop if you let your contract lapse... or don't take it out or whatever after the free one year period. Let others say which elements is required to keep map updates ticking over... unless one hears differently.

I was hoping that Seat would give the same deal as VW and Skoda free map updates for life off the website as per Mib2. The maps for Mib3 are published via the website for uploading via usb. VAG have done the reverse taken away free map updates for life off VW and Skoda as well with Mib3 in West Europe. Suggested it's possible in East Europe probably since connected services may not be offered. It's a pay model now. Probably a navigation FeC that limits that. Time will tell.
