Due to the cooler weather here in the UK, most people in only need an SMIC, not a FMIC: unless you're using the car for the track or on hot (?) days with constant abuse, you're never going to get the EGTs to rise that much with a decent uprated SMIC.
The SMIC which gets the best
reviews is the Eurojet SMIC.
The Tyrolsport SMIC also gets good
reviews, but apparently hangs a bit low, like the Boost Factory SMIC does.
The eBay SMIC is supposed to be 'ok', but doesn't have as good build quality as a Eurojet, i.e. the eBay unit is a cheaper knock-off, which does work, but don't expect top quality like the Eurojet.
The
problem is that the best SMICs are American, like the Eurojet, and getting one imported is expensive and people in the UK don't generally know about Eurojet/don't want to spend £££/can't be ar$ed,
so that's why this thread has gone onto fitting FMICs!!
