Hey boys, question about this. Im a handfull of weeks away from my FR Boca. It will be mapped right away by JD Engineering. (im from Dutchyland) Now with the old 1.8T's people would exchange the Diverter Valve's with forge ones cause the standard ones would just die, especially after tuning it.
Is this the case also with the new 1.4tsi's, or do you just fit the Forge ones for the funky sound.

Cheers.

The forge spacer doesn't replace the bov, it goes inbetween it and the turbo just to make the operation audible.

techie i was just wondering if you have any news on the induction kit by forge ie when are they selling it to general public??? also is there a temprature gauge on the cupra/boc???

No idea on the induction kit, a question for Forge, I got my one..lol

No there isnt a temp gauge, just a warning light it its too hot.

forge spacer is a good idea as it stops the turbo recycling super hot air to control boost and instead just vents in short sharp bursts to atmosphere.

This cools the turbo significantly compared to allowing air to go into turbo, get compressed and then leak via the BOV back to the front intake of the turbo again.

Never thought of it like this. Does it lower boost levels at all?

No, it just helps your car regulate boost better. Instead of having to open the bypass valve for a second and keep it open to control boost, it can now just pop off some air which goes to atmosphere and boost drops nicely and very fast.

The car always has enough boost with the twincharging. I can hear mine bleeding off boost most of the time to some degree except under full throttle and then you only hear it on gearchanges slightly

By having the forge spacer you also reduce the thermal strain on the O-rings inside the valve and it is less likely to break as it is no longer heating up as much.

Anyone here who can tell from experience how are those Bilstein B14 on the cupra TSI ?
How are they on every day use on rough roads? I'm considering Biltein B14 or B8+Eibach springs on my 2011 CUPRA, but a bit concerned about the ride.

that's mandrel mate!!! Good job then and yes agree with Nick, slightly off centre at exit hehehehehe. Here is a pic of the foot rest I had done too by the way.

What's that footrest originally from? mk5 Golf?
