Guys,

Can anyone supply a picture and/or part number of the OEM gearbox mount bush that is commonly replaced by a poly bush to reduce wheel hop (such as the powerflex item below.

Thanks,

Horace

Horace this bush does not replace an OEM part, it complements it. You simply unscrew the screw that holds the arm, clean the inside of the OEM bush with a lubricant spray, grease the powerflex bush (with the grease they provide - sachet) and you slide it in to fill the gaps of the OEM rubber bush. Then you put the smaller washer to fill the middle hole and then the large one on top to hold the whole thing in place with the OEM screw. Once you put it each vibration of the engine will be more noticeable - so don't be worried.

Not sure if it works in the same way, but when I was looking at the Neuspeed Torque Arm insert it seems to work in addition to the OEM parts.

The install guide for the Neuspeed (which looks pretty much the same as the PF one) are here:

I've never actually got round to ordering it though, so might be completely wrong!

I already have one, but I am looking to put an OEM one back in its place. Just need detail on it.

Ah ok

A bit easier than I imagined then

Thanks chaps :D

Just out of curiostity Al, why are you going back to standard? Reason I ask is I was just about to order one of these.

Just fitted some BSH mounts, Gearbox, Lower mount plus Engine Mount.
Vibrates like crazy. will it go away ? I am thinking on changing the Engine mount back to the stock mount and keep the gearbox and torque mounts BSH, what do you guys think ?

Car: Seat Leon FR 2.0TFSI 2008

The vibration will lessen as you put a few miles on and break them in. I would stay as is if going big power

ok great. because i feel like im driving a truck, hearing all kinds of sounds.
how much % less vibrations will there be after some miles would you say ?

I am even hearing sounds from the clutch when the car is in neutral. But when i press the clutch in, the knocking sound goes away. (I thought it was the gearbox mount at first)
Im thinking its the slave master cylinder, or maybe i need to change my timing belt kit which i have not yet, and the car has just reached about 100.000 km

Have you got an SMF clutch? As soon as i went for the engine mounts i too heard more noise, including a little gearbox whine etc. Its just a trade off. After a few miles it will be noticeably better. Drive it hard though
