I've had my 2005 Mk I 150 BHP Leon remapped and now definitely need to have an uprated clutch. It is on the original manufacturers clutch and slips a good 'un when I boot it. It's only done 20k miles and it didn't slip at all before the remap
My local VAG mechanic hasn't done a clutch upgrade just replacement with OEM bits, so he had a couple of questions:
1. Is it just a straightforward replacment or are there a load of mods that need doing? I think he is concerned whether he may need to replace a raft of other minor bits
2. What would be the exact parts list from, say Sachs ? Is there a thread with it all in?
I'm probably not going to upgrade the engine much further for now, so expect that I'm in the 185-190bhp bracket. Might get a rolling road done at some point
