URGENT- advice on Leon Cat Converter needed!!!

Hi all, I have a 51 plate 1.6s Leon, the catalytic converter went recently and on taking it to the garage it seems Seat have not fitted a standard Leon Cat to it, the garage have tried the cats listed for that engine number/model and none of them fit. Has anybody else had this problem or heard of it, and if so any advice on which cat it might be?? (MOT due in 3 days!!)

Did you get a recipet with car of what seat done the cat? you may want to get in touch with them, then order the same cat with the part number

Unfortunately the car was bought from SEAT Arnold Clarke in Liverpool which has now closed down!

I have been right through all the documentation i got with the car and there is nothing on the Cat Converter. God knows why Seat didnt fit a standard one. I'm going to try ringing a SEAT dealers in Warrington tomorrow and see if they can reference my chassis number with which Cat was fitted. The Cat has never been replaced and is the original factory fitted one so why it is different to the standard Leon Cat i cant work out!

does it matter if it is not the standard cat?

as long as there is one in, fits correctly and it's doing the same job it'll pass the mot
