Hi all,
I'm seeking some urgent advice as earlier today the silver button on the end of the handbrake just fell out. I didn't even notice exactly when it happened but now I have a big issue with the handbrake as it doesn't exactly work well without the button.
Has anyone had this issue before? Can I buy a replacement button or do I need an entire handbrake? The old button seems to not engage with the flange on the mechanism inside the handle itself, could it be worn? Nothing looks to have snapped off any of the parts I can see. Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you

Yes, it was for a manual handbrake. As it turns out, like eltawater said, it was just a case of buying a new silver end button. It clicked straight in to place without needing any other work. The old button must have been worn as it wouldn't click in to place and engage with the internal mechanism.
