V plate toledo v5 dash panel coding

Hi i wonder if anyone can help me, i have a V reg seat toledo v5 ,its been parked up for a year and when started- starts for a second or 2 and then cuts out, put a new batt on it but the key on the dash is flashing asif its not reading the key, ive had a new key and the garage have tried programing it in with no joy,the seat garage have told me that the dash instrument panel immobiliser is faulty- wot i would like to kno is- is it possible to program a second hand dash panel into my vehicle- i would be very greatfull for any advise on this one. thanks

You could have your immobiliser removed from the cluster.

Is there a company that can remove the immobilizer? If so what is the company name? Thanks for the reply.

Most chip tuning companys will be able to do it.

It could be the key reading coil around the ignition barrel at fault, did the garage check this too?

Do you know how i can check the key reader. And does the part come on its own or with the barrel.
