VAG Com / MAF Probs

I think I may have MAF problems but my Vag-com ebay cheap cable is naff.

It works find whilst the engine is off, but as soon as I start the engine I get a 9C9C protocol error. I believe it is because I have a cheap rip off cable.

Is there anyone near the Leeds area with Vag-Com that may be able to help me check the readings.

If it is low - are they covered under warranty. The car is an Oct '04 Cupra 150D.

Thanks

Got my MAF changed under warranty, no questions asked. The car is 5yrs old too!

Turns out that the MAF wasn't faulty, so got a nice shiny new one for free. :p

When you check your readings, if you are getting less air passing at high revs than you are at idle, check the N75 valve, thats where mine was having problems, but apparently diagnostics kept telling the garage it was the MAF even though they put a shiny new one on. If you can get a new MAF for free though, why not get them to change that too. :)
