Vagcom and windows 7

VCDS is fully compatible with Windows 7. We have replaced all VAG-COM versions now and all VCDS versions are Windows 7 compatible.

What are trying to run? VAG-COM 409? not Windows 7 compatible. Download the free VCDSLite version and that should run with any VAG-COM 409 compatible interface.

VCDSLite works with my VAG-COM 409 cable on Windows 7. Just tried it this afternoon

I have Vagcom 409.1 working with Windows 7 Ultimate. Came up there was a compatibility issue but used the built-in windows emulator type thing (technical description I know) and it's fine so far as its set to XP service pack 2.

im also using 409.1 on vista ultimate but run it as administrator or it crashes.

im new to vag.com but iv downloaded VCDSLite. iv plug it into my car and the window came up and all seemed fine. i wanted to activate the deep when unlocking and locking my car but after i tested then clicked save an error came up saying 'sorry. this function requires vcds-lite to be registered and activated. please contact the author or your distribustor for an activation code' after i click on ok another window pops up saying

with wsc:06402

are you sure?

so i clicked yes, thinking it would then work but it doesn't. can anyone help me?

You need the full VCDS to do the technical things like the lock/unlock beep and auto lock/unlock. Check the rosstech website for license details
