i was using Carista but in their new official release they have removed programming for Leon 5F. I wish VCDS would release an app soon.

I don't use Windows so having VCDS installed on laptop isn't an option.

Anybody know if it's possible to remove VIM on the mib2 head unit, I read somewhere that you can change the speed cut off but can't for the hell of it remember where I saw it or remember if any other kit was needed, I have VCDS 15.7.4.

I would imagine you can disable it as a lot of people enable it.

That's what I meant I want it to work on the move, having a mess around with some apps that displays live data and gauges but it won't work in Android Auto, but figure it will still display if the VIM isn't kicking in

Yeh it is possible pretty sure of that, OBDEleven has a section for VIM and its got a yes or no option.

I wasn't sure if it did, I was in two minds whether to get OBDEleven or VCDS went for VCDS but can't find the coding options for VIM, looks like I might be getting OBDEleven as well

There is an Adaptation that is called Straight ahead brake stabilization that is set to activated that I want to switch off but it requires a code and the regular ones for the ABS module or so doesnt work, can any of you guys get this to work?

I have made a few changes to my car using OBDeleven, dead easy using the apps.
I have enabled the cornering lights, however they don't come on above around 20mph, anyone know how I can increase the cut off speed?

I'd be inclined to say it might be a distraction to other motorists if active at too higher speeds, not saying you shouldn't do it, just making an observation

You can increase the speed to 30 something with vcds. I can't remember the exact figure off the top of my head. I'm not sure if that can be changed with anything other than vcds though (ie obdeleven or Carista)

awesome thread ! I'm pretty new to this, had an FR184 previously but never really tinkered with it but now had a ST Cupra and will be doing a few mods detailed in here.

I have a question, does anyone know if it possible to add anything like boost, oil pressure etc into the FIS? wondering if there is something like a diagnostic screen or something which could be displayed?

Since I updated to ross-tech 16.08 from 15.04 I have not been able to change the chirp on unlocking and unlocking the wing mirrors with one push of the fob and the indicators to 5 flashes. All my tweeks were cancelled by seat when they run a diagnostic check on my mk 3 leon 2016. I had changed what I wanted with the 15 version but for some reason it will not work with 16.8 the mirror adaption throws up a message error not available. Any ideas perhaps I need new codes for the 16.8 version?

Not sure if I can ask about clone VCDS cables, so apologies if not but if so, does anyone mind telling me where they got theirs please, as I'd like to carry out one or two of the mods detailed in this thread and I know my old K-line cable won't work!

To be honest,ross tech cables are expensive. So a lot of us using clones.

Not to mention that since the update the genuine article no longer allows you to do the changes to all the various things as detailed on here and other forums , which is normally the main reason people buy vcds

So far,i had only one moment that vcds should be original ross tech. Otherwise clone works superb fo me. I dont miss any updating and other stuff

Or use the cheaper alternative https://obdeleven.com/ which can do most of the VCDS coding.
I have one of those and I am very happy about it, so far it has supported whatever I wanted to re-program.
