Quick question. Mk4 Ibiza isn't Can based is it? Might be buying one for the daughter and need to know if my current cable is suitable. I think probably not but can someone confirm.

If you mean do mk4`s use can-bus wiring then no it does`nt.

Off to put my name down on a VCDS goups buy for a full function cable. I bought a Can only cable when I got the Altea as I never thought I'd need K line support.

And so will my soon to arrive Hex Can cable. However the Micro Can cable I currently have doesn't. See what I mean?

I've got a USB cable spare if it's any help - will work with 409.1

Plan is to sell the Micro can which will part fund the new cable. Nowt like doing the job properly (which is what I should've done first time round innit).
