Very noisy turbo & loss of power

Hi,

Got a bit of a problem
Started getting a roaring noise under power & thought it was exhaust blowing.

Stopped & had a good look but no blowing at all with full revs.
Got back on road & noise was a lot worse under pressure & sounds like high pitched turbo woosh. Noise gets louder with more throttle & power drops right off & car stutters until I back off revs.
Think it must be turbo leaking or loose hose or split hose.

Anyone got any simple fixes or is it a main stealer job? :(

Car is a bog standard LC on a 52 plate.

Cheers all

sounds like youve blown an intercooler hose off matey.
driverside and is easy to access if you take the inner plastic arch off, 6 or 7 torx screws and star head screw and its off.

Cheers, thought it was something simple.
I'm a complete novice at servicing the LC but guess its the area in front of the drivers side front wheel? or is it tucked away behind it?

Thanks mate.

All sorted

Thanks again mate, got up early saturday morning thinking I'd be tinkering for an hour or so but only took me 15 minutes. Took the wheel off and the hose connection behind the wheel was missing its jubilee clip. Put a new one on and sorted. :funk:

Lots of lovely power and no more noise! :D
