I was thinking about using the IHI VF34 for my 1.8T conversion, 360BHP is probably enough to be honest - but are there any similar turbos that give low spool like the VF34 is reported to, but bigger power top end?
I saw JBS' hybrid GT/IHI advertised elsewhere and was wondering if anyone had any experience of it?
At the end of the day, I don't want to sacrifice driveability and ultimately reliability for a few more extra BHP, so is the VF34 a good compromise?

hey things are looking up Bill we exchanged views without falling outI had seen my VF34 to >30psi, but its well catalogued that they do suffer bearing failures, and the thread is asking if a VF34 will do 400bhp........
