I was wondering if the following is normall or if anyone can explain it ~
When i maybe brake hard but NOT lock up i get a rubbling/vibrating! through the brake pedal i can push through it and then it will lock, It doesnt affect the brake force but it seems to be a warning to tell me the wheels are on the edge of there grip level?
its the only way i can really explain it?

does anyone else have this is it normall????

as i say its under heavey breakin only and happens like a warning before ABS would come in ? it seems good to me as its like a warning lol

any ideas ???

cheers

but the wheels dont skid there is no sound and everything feels normall?? apart from this grindin :D

abs, or you're discs are warped

but i bet its abs, you wont skid thats the whole point :D

Its definately ABS, the whole point is that your wheels dont skid, i bet it feels like there are stones stuck between the pads and the disk when it happens? thats what i thought when i first had it kick in. The pedal seems to push up at your slightly when it happens too. Nothing to worry about at all.

Well, you obviously havent been pushing the car too hard then if you havent had the ABS kick in

Does the vibration slow down as you brake? If it does, then it's not the ABS but more likely to be warped discs.

Otherwise, if it's a constant, very rapid vibration then I agree with everyone else that it's most likely the ABS.

i tried some brakin on way home of nights and i can now say its the ABS? i have never had ABS before and as i have never had it come in before i didnt know what it would feel like didnt think i would feel it through pedal :) .

its a strange old set up not what i thought ;) but its all good cheers all
