So tonight Si and I cracked on. Loom was next on the agenda so stripping began:

So now its to split the 1.6 engine loom from the car harness, and join in the VR6 loom back to it......

So tonight, armed with tea and pizza we set on the looms.
The Polo loom has all the lighting loom etc mixed in with the engine harness, so we needed to split the two and keep the lighting section and join it with the VR6 engine harness.
So first was removing the insulation tape which Si helped with:

And the 'not needed pile' grew:

Until we were left with a rough loom :)

So now is to whack the engine in, route the loom where it needs to go then take the engine out and wrap the loom in proper loom tape.....

impressive. this is something ive always wanted to do to the ibiza but i need to save some pennies first & get our lass something else to smoke around in whilst i do it. im also fairly new to this scene having been a vauxhall/opel nut since i was a kid, although i have had a good few mk2 golfs & a polo so i do have a bit of know.

ill never get bored of vauxhalls. this is the mrs car im on here with but i cant fault it in any way other than i think it should of been 16v instead of 12v. ive always been a fan of vag stuff as its well built & reliable. i was bought up around vauxhalls though thats why im into them, its more stuff like manta's & nova's & mk2 astras i like though... the older breed

That engine is pure sex ;p Nothing beats those sounds that VR6 engine blows out. It´s pure soundgasm.
Wanting to see this rolling.

Well it is still in progress, so here's an update....

Got the VR back out ready to do the clutch mod:

And modified the mount using this guide: http://mk2vr6.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=589" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Then converted the front to 5 stud VR gear:

Don´t say those are BBS :/ I´m not sure but they look kinda like some replicas to me. Then those BBS badges aren´t good.

Well the engine and other parts are the most interesting part in this project ;p
