Finally some small progress this weekend, and most importantly putting car together so maybe it will run this summer.

First started to replace timing belt, tensioners and upgraded water pump. And new auxiliary belt and tensioner also

after that decided finally install also upgraded oil pump, should have about 30% more flow. And original has been running 300 thousand kilometres already so maybe it's time to give it retirement days.

Btw. Feels good to put car back together.

Slow progress this weekend, oil pan is now sealed, front drive shafts installed and upgraded front control arms to TT225 / CupraR cast versions. next week i'm on vacation so I hope that car will be after that driveable.

Has been quick hectic times but Leon is still in progress. Finally i manage to move it from home garage to my workshop. ESP problem is now sorted out, replaced new (used) combi sensor which was pain in *** to find as 4WD uses different one and with this trim as my Leon only cars to use same combisensor are certain age MK4 R32 Golfs and 4WD Leons. Audi TT / S3 uses two different sensor.

After ESP Combi sensor replacement I manged to do ESP Function test drive and it was accepted, and then I coded out whole ESP/ASR and hopefully that also disables annoying Electronic "slip diff feature" which was destroying brakes on track.

Upgraded also throttle body to 80mm one and decied also build boost pipes ones again.

Happy car, Happy Cme after ESP Function test passed

some CAN bus wiring and modifications to make Tablet mode work with the car.

Short vid clips for mild Launch and over revved hard launch (need adjusting shoots over target)

Hard:

Boost piping with aweful welds but it's what it is, real DIY. Had bit hard time to do those as I broke my rib bone couple weeks ago.

After test drive, boosts now well and throttle body modifications worked out, now TB controlling works like it should and idle works with out pulling timing to negative 15deg. Maybe just maybe I can take the car to MOT / inspection and finally this summer drive it.

Some fabrication, decided to build some sort of a heat shield for turbo. Using stuff lying around thin aluminium sheet and some heat shield pieces.

And there it is, just wondering should I hide whole Turbo and do second piece from head cover.

Next steps are fix broken grill from bumper install it and get car for 4 wheel alignment. Then it should be ready for inspection. Unless I build new fuel lines before that.
