Knew it would happen eventually, came back from hols and car has sprung a leak(or two!)
Great write ups on the door seals but -, and this may sound stupid, how do i get the front seats out to remove the carpets, bit concerned with elec seats and esp airbag wiring, are there any procedures to follow as i dont fancy a big hole in the side of my seats to add to the lovely musty smell!! ;)
02 Toledo v5

Ta in advance

removing seats

disconnect battery leave for a bit then remove seats and disconnect wiring under seats when free from runners .air bag light will come on only when battery and ignition on at same time then you will have to have it removed by dealer or vag-com[B)]

water water etc

Thanks for that, nice looking motor silver surfer, dont suppose you have a part no for the Seat boot spoiler, have been looking on fleabay but the ones on there look a bit oot for me kinda spoils the sleeeper look of the Tolly where yours is subtle...

Cheers

My other half has a spread sheet of part numbers. when he goes home, if you havent got the number, will get him to post it.

while i am away, my baby has been stripped because of the water problem!!!
will post pics tomorrow, it is gutted...the problem with wet carpets is that you will find the sound proofing is like a sponge!!! you can wringe it out!!! (thats under the carpet!)

your worried about musty smell, try mould growing on the gear stick!:p

The really common parts numbers you can generally find on the Seat UK website:
Spoiler Part Number

Edit: Ah, didn't link direct. You need to click on 'Toledo 1999>2004' then 'Sport' then 'Rear Spoilers'. (Part number is KE30031053 by the way).

thanks all for the spoiler refs, and yes Sam 20V,that underlay is a pain the rubber coating on the top seems designed to trap water underneath!,couldnt belive how much water it was holding, ended up cutting it out, hangin it up to drip dry and sticking it in the tumble dryer while the wife was out!!-came out ok,-not sure about the dryer though...

HAHAHAHAHA good skill......tumble drier!!!!

other half has hung it in the garage.........we dont have a tumble drier so i know he isnt going to do that
