Needing some knowledge if anyone has any. Just purchased a 2015 Seat Leon Cupra 280 from Bca and obviously it has issues. Drives perfectly and pulls hard but at idle, very consistently it splutters a bit every 5 seconds and "hiccups" from the exhaust. Google suggests a few things like pcv valve etc but has anyone had this before and can point me before I spend a fortune replacing everything?

I agree PCV system most likely. Inspect with a flashlight, mirror etc looking for any split pipes. A smoke test should show up any leaks otherwise. Most garages have smoke testers these days.

Make sure the throttle body is kept clean. If the throttle body is blocked with recirculated deposits the engine will starve of air at idle until the throttle is opened and the butterfly rotated to let air in. In my experience cleaning is required every 30k miles or so.
