Unfortunately I've failed already ! - Cannot get the top downpipe to to turbo bolt undone , the O2 sensor is in the way of even a 4inch extension and the manifold is in the way anyway.

I was hoping of taking the manifold off but you cant even do that as the downpipe is in the way :givein:

So an update and a warning - This is NOT a DIY or even an enthusiastic amateur mechanics job !! - You need special tools and the ability to lift the car pretty high and safely .

You cannot remove the exhaust manifold as I was hoping/thought possible/led to believe and therefore cannot get at the oil feed and water cooler union's undone.

As per my other post in General topic's now looking for a mobile mechanic in a hope they will have better luck.

Morale of the story even if you think you can DO NOT attempt this on your own !!.

Its a sh!tty job. Id find a reputable garage to do it rather than a local mobile mechanic that you randomly pick out of a Google search.
May have to pay the extra £££ but probably worth it on a job like that.

Think my guy drops subframe whenever he gets to mine so he can access from above and below. Not 100%but think that’s how he does it all.

Nope - I'm slightly injured so have put it on hold for a week or so. I also discovered a fairly substantial oil leak but no idea where its coming from at this stage.

Looking like I am after all going to have to sell it as spares or repairs - non running. I dont think me and LastChanceReally are destined for a future together this car has fought me every inch of the way since I've owned it, all I want now is a nice little grandad mobile :-(

You’ve certainly put the effort in.
Sometimes you just have to move on though.

yup - early xmas present from wife n kids. - Took 6 hours in total yesterday - Yes it does quite easily come out the side/top. I have a video but its in mp4 format so cannot upload direct to forum.

Engine bay not finished yet :) - Have a bit more tidying up to do and some more polished stainless to go etc etc - Am going to wait for a bit now to recover stress levels/patience and missing skin.

Starts and runs but not driveable as N75 split in half - Cheap junk "EMC" branded "C" version so not even the right one for the car.

Catch can not fitted because of the above......just cant wait to drive it now - or might just leave in the garage now I know it fits :)
