Likely to be the drivers door, not the rear door. The drivers door gets opened and closed more than any other door and is always going to fail first.
I agree, I have wet rear carpets but its the drivers door that show signs of water ingress.
What I don't understand is that there is a thick steel rib running across the car underneath the carpet, that I thought would split the front and rear's ability to hold water. But nope, I have a leaking FRONT door, and its the REAR carpet that's wetter!
The dealer sell the proper butyl strip, it's quite expensive but there seems to be a lot spare and can do two doors if you're careful (and don't seal the top edge which isn't where the leaks happen). Make sure you get the butyl stuff, I'm sure some people have been sold a foam alternative that is pants.

Comparing it visually to the SEAT stuff it looks and feels about the same, only time will tell whether it is a false economy.

i had the leak problem, major water in the footwells, carpets were soaked, there is a dribble that comes over the door frames, but if rains and i go to car i`ll just open all doors quickly to let it drain before driving off.
had a garage take all dash out ,reckoned the leak was to do with wiring loom going to engine bay, but didnt fix problem so took it back, they then said it was a dodgy weld on rear where boot lifts up, he gave example of robot arm doing weld and misaligned. any way says he re welded it and its been pretty dry now apart from trickle from doors.

I have the same problem aswell,only difference is when it rains my window's go down and the car lock's open and close with the alarm chirping away. Bit of a nightmare when it's pissing rain outside and the window's go down and I have to go out and put them up manually. Took it to a mate who is a machinic and he is saying it's down to the door lock I'm the driver's door that is acting up and that is why the windows are going down too. To add more insult to injury I had to strip out the whole interior and replace the underlay it was so wet. All this trouble from a dodgy leak 
I've just resealed both driver's side doors, carpet was wet front AND rear both doorseals had a tiny break allowing the water through. God knows why they didn't design the door to deflect the water away from the inner skin over to the drain holes....

The amount of Leons that suffer with this problem can only lead to one conclusion IMO. Don't take chances in sorting one door out, drying out and finding it gets wet again because another door has gone. Sort ALL the doors out -- at some point you're going to have to do it anyway.
I'm now on my 2nd Leon, and I've had to do all the doors on both vehicles.
The 1st Leon had the silcon over the original seal treatment, and was fine for the 2 years until I sold it, the one I have now was repaired using the butyl strip available off eBay. As well as a more permanent repair, and one that looks like it's more factory done, at least the car doesn't stink of curing silicon with this method!

I agree with Mike, a wet rear floor can be caused by a leaking front door, so you might as well do all of them. Mine looked well siliconed from the outside, it's only when I actually got them open and had a look did I see the holes through the silicone. And water has an amazing ability to find the smallest holes.
Butyl is considered to be the best option, it's not that much more than decent silicone either.

With the rain we've had i've realised that my rear footwell is now getting wet.
Is it a straight swop with door seals? Or do I need to take the door apart?

Yeah I had a small foot spa goin on in the back of my lc, found it when I was hoovering, there was a puddle sitting on top of the carpet about a centimetre deep ! Haha had to scoop most of it out with a cup !
